- The note read: “I am delighted to announce that Rhiannon Ally has been appointed as current world news and America This Morning.
- Rhiannon is a seasoned and versatile journalist who first joined our ABC News team in December 2021 as a freelance reporter for NewsOne and an alternate anchor for our overnight show. In these roles, she has expertly covered high-profile stories, including the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell and the war in Ukraine.
- Before joining our ABC team, Rhiannon co-hosted major weeknight broadcasts for KSHB-TV in Kansas City, Missouri, including the Emmy-winning 10pm show. In that role, she hosted many breaking news events, as well as the Kansas City Royals’ World Series title. Previously, Rhiannon was a co-anchor for WFOR-TV in Miami, Florida, where she hosted coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing, Hurricane Sandy and the papal council when Pope Benedict retired. While at WFOR, mum-of-three Rhiannon also created her own weekly series focusing on modern parenting.
- Rhiannon has also worked as a backup news anchor and entertainment reporter for WCBS in New York and co-hosts Meredith Broadcasting’s nationally syndicated lifestyle show better tv, where she conducted one-on-one interviews with news personalities including Madonna, Denzel Washington and Gloria Steinham.She is also the author of children’s books Mom, please don’t go to work! Inspired by her child and mother trying to balance it all.
