Abdullah bin Zayed meets UN-appointed Special Coordinator for Afghanistan

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Ambassador Feridun Hadi Sinirlioğlu, UN-appointed Special Coordinator for the Independent Assessment of Afghanistan.

The meeting in Abu Dhabi discussed the overall situation in Afghanistan and prospects for UAE-UN cooperation. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated UAE’s support for the UN Security Council-mandated assessment and its objectives.

They also reviewed UAE’s initiatives supporting Afghanistan across various sectors, emphasizing the need for international cooperation to address challenges, especially for Afghan women.

The UAE expressed its commitment to backing all international efforts for peace, stability, and prosperity in Afghanistan.
