UAE-based low-cost carrier Abu Dhabi Airways will start flying from the UAE capital Abu Dhabi to Kolkata on March 15. Airports Authority of India (AAI) said in a statement on Thursday. The new service between Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport, Kolkata and Abu Dhabi International Airport will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, the statement said. The three-day flight will depart Abu Dhabi at 2.25pm ​​local time and arrive in Kolkata at 8.20pm local time, according to the statement. The return flight will depart Kolkata at 9.05pm (local time) and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 1.05pm (local time) the same day. The airline will operate Airbus A320 aircraft on the route.

Abu Dhabi Airways said in a press release on its website that Kolkata is the airline’s new base in India after Cochin, Calicut, Trivandrum, Chennai, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Seventh destination.
