Abu Dhabi Airport tests Terminal A operations with community volunteers in the UAE

Abu Dhabi Airports is conducting its largest live trial for the new Terminal A, scheduled to open in November.

Over 6,000 community volunteers, including students, families, and aviation stakeholders, are participating in rigorous simulations to test various terminal operations.

These trials cover check-in, baggage handling, security screening, immigration, and customs processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Terminal A, one of the world’s largest airport terminals, will significantly enhance Abu Dhabi International Airport’s capacity and contribute to economic growth, accommodating 45 million passengers annually.

Additional large-scale tests will continue in September and October, with volunteers invited to participate. These trials aim to optimize passenger experience and operational efficiency for the terminal’s November opening.
