Abu Dhabi Arts Festival congratulates cultural partner Art D’Égypte on the great success of Forever Is Now Exhibition

As part of the 18th Abu Dhabi Art Festival, with the slogan “The future starts from now”, and through cultural cooperation with Art D’Égypte, the art exhibition Always now As the first international exhibition held on the Giza Plateau at the foot of the Great Pyramid, it ended successfully.

The exhibition displays contemporary art works from the region and the world, including the work of the great Egyptian sculptor Adam Henein. The exhibition is curated by the internationally renowned Simon Watson.

Nadine Abdul Jafar, Founder of Egyptian Art, Said: “The great success of this project is attributed to the support of our partners and sponsors, including our cultural partner Abu Dhabi Festival. This is a beacon that illuminates the road to revival of the entire cultural sector.”

Participating artists include Russian artist Alexander Ponomarev, Brazilian artist João Trevisan, French artist JR, Italian artist Lorenzo Quinn, Egyptian artist Moataz Nasr, Egyptian-born and Los Angeles artist Sherin Guirguis, British artists Shuster + Moseley and Stephen Cox RA, and Saudi artist Sultan His Royal Highness Prince Ben Fahd.

Art D’Égypte also showcased the creative work of visual artist and architect Karim El Hayawan, as well as music by Mohamed Nawara and vocal music by soprano Fatma Said. In addition, this art documentary also pays tribute to 14 contemporary artists of ancient Egypt.

Art D’Égypte also launched a parallel project; the world’s first super-realistic humanoid robot that can paint, paint, sculpt and engage in performance art. The mechatronics and robotics involved in the production of the Ai-Da drawing arm was designed and programmed by Salah EL Abd and Ziad Abbas, two Egyptian engineers from the University of Leeds. Robot art works also appeared in the exhibition.

The 18th Abu Dhabi Festival was supported by its main partner Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) and energy partner GS Energy.
