Abu Dhabi-based m42, a global technology-enabled healthcare company, is partnering with Butterfly, the UAE’s first advocacy organization for people of determination (pod), to promote inclusion for people of determination (pod).
Abu Dhabi-based Butterfly supports parents addressing educational placement issues and finds and secures employment for pods through its Inclusive Employment Ecosystem (iee). m42 is the first healthcare company to become a member of the IEE, an organization that promotes progressive policies to enhance and protect pods.
m42, the result of the merger of the healthcare assets of g42 healthcare and mubadala health, has signed a memorandum of understanding with butterfly companies to promote inclusion.
Hasan Jasem al Nowais, CEO and Managing Director of m42 Group, noted that the partnership will create a more inclusive ecosystem for pods in Abu Dhabi.
“Integrating people of determination into all aspects of our society is our highest priority as this is an integral community we care deeply about. Through this partnership, we aim to apply the model of social integration, We can influence, collaborate and support the social and educational ecosystem in the emirate, and serve as an example for other entities. m42 is excited to join a growing supportive community of people determined to seek better education, employment and overall fulfillment.”
This collaboration is in line with the Abu Dhabi People of Determination Strategy 2020-2024, which aims to support pods and their families through an integrated system of high-quality services, ensuring their contribution to society with the participation of the private and third sectors fully contribute.
m42 is helping schools with diagnostic practice and support through different assets of mubadala health. amana Healthcare and danat al emarat hospital have provided on-campus support services in accordance with the policies set by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (adek). A key initiative is its screening program, which aims to detect developmental problems in young children early.
These programs and initiatives are in line with the global shift from a medical model to a social model approach, covering healthcare, social care and education. The goal of this transformation is to remove barriers and create a pod-friendly environment that promotes inclusion and equal opportunity.
