Abu DhabiUnited Arab Emirates, November 11, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Abu Dhabi Culture Summit, a global cultural forum organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, concluded its fifth edition last month. The three-day event, the first in-person summit since the outbreak of COVID-19, brought cultural leaders, artists, academics, policymakers and creative professionals from more than 90 countries to the UAE capital to discuss pressing challenges On the cultural sector, and the role that culture plays in addressing the wider problems of today’s world.

The program explores what it means to have culture as a lived experience in a world transformed by the recent pandemic, in addition to discussing the cultural diversity of China. Hollywood, the role of art collectors, the impact of digital media and artificial intelligence, cultural and climate emergencies, important lessons from the pandemic, and more. The programme also includes a series of keynote speeches, plenary sessions, panel discussions, artist talks, workshops, film screenings, creative dialogues and cultural performances.
This year, the summit welcomed renowned speakers from around the world, including comedians and daily show host Trevor Noahworld famous architect Frank Gehryfamous architect David Adjayeprofessor and founder of Forensic Architecture Eyal Weizmannarchitect Sumaya Valleyart collectors Guy and Myriam Ullens and more.
Speakers at the summit engaged in influential discussions with attendees both on and off stage: as the summit continues to provide a rich platform for cultural exchange and diverse opportunities for interpersonal exchange.
