Emirates Palace officially changed its name to Mandarin Oriental, Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, marking a new golden age as part of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

This exciting chapter will celebrate and continue the hotel’s unique heritage while delivering an unrivaled experience for guests, further cementing its position as the world’s most iconic seaside resort.

To commemorate this milestone, the hotel held a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Emirates Palace Company (‘EPCO’) Managing Director Sultan Al Hemeiri and other senior EPCO officials were welcomed by Group Chief Executive James Riley and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Chief Commercial Officer Joanna Flint. During the ceremony, they unveiled the hotel’s signature fan, designed by Abu Dhabi-born, multidisciplinary artist Ahmad Saeed Al Areef Al Dhaheri, inspired by the UAE’s cherished tradition of pearl diving.

In this regard, Mohammed Al Junaibi said: “We are delighted to enter a new golden era of hospitality at Mandarin Oriental, Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi. Guided by the heritage and expertise of Mandarin Oriental, the resort will become a luxury hotel in the world. , which is in line with our leadership’s aspiration to provide world-class hospitality to anyone visiting or living in the UAE.”

Commenting on the rebrand, James Riley said: “Mandarin Oriental, Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi marks a milestone for our brand and confirms our commitment to the region. This beachfront palace features refurbished guest rooms, innovative dining experiences and new spa and sports facilities, each enhanced by Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service. The reimagined accommodations will include the region’s first vegan guest rooms featuring compassionate design, sustainable bedding, plant-based in-room dining options and cruelty-free bath products. The hotel’s new signature suites offer a haven of sophistication and style, with priority access to resort amenities, while the EP Club includes 660 square meters of elevated living, dining and relaxation areas exclusively for members and suite guests.

Crowning your love at Chaumet is a highlight of a grand wedding at the resort, offering a lavish complement to guests celebrating their special day in the magnificent palace grounds. Found at Emirates Palace will feature a range of exclusive gifts, accessories and holiday wear, while guests can also discover unique crafts and contemporary art from local businesses and emerging artists through The Palace Pop-Up.

Among the enhanced dining options, one-Michelin-starred Antonio Guida’s Talea is a celebration of authentic Cucina di Famiglia, served in vibrant indoor and outdoor ambiences. Elsewhere, new food destination Episode – including a tea shop, deli, cake shop and ice cream parlor – promises to explore both modern and classic cuisines.

In addition to the serene sanctuary offered by The Hideaway, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental will pioneer self-care practices from world-renowned practitioners and introduce a new line of skincare products by Tata Harper and Oto. The new spa will also offer exclusive Acqua di Parma Barbiere services and retail products.
