Abu Dhabi Joint Traffic Safety Committee launches awareness campaign

Abu Dhabi: As part of an awareness campaign for school bus drivers, the event was organised by the Abu Dhabi Joint Transport Safety Committee, led by the Municipality and Transport Ministry and comprising members of the Integrated Transport Centre, the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters, the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health, and Abu Dhabi Dhabi Police Headquarters, in collaboration with a number of strategic partners, the Integrated Transport Centre has held a series of awareness workshops for school bus drivers and supervisors in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and the Al Dhafra area, aimed at promoting traffic safety and maintaining daily The safety and security of students who use school buses on their way to and from school.

The workshop included informative lectures on traffic safety for 400 school bus drivers and supervisors in Arabic, English and Urdu, as well as videos showing incorrect behaviour and how to avoid it. Basic road and traffic rules have also been introduced to avoid accidents and the damage and loss caused by these accidents and to enhance compliance with safe driving standards.

The centre shows how these workshops focus on the sole interests of our students on the journey to and from school by raising awareness of drivers and the importance of their commitment to traffic safety rules, avoiding driving while fatigued and not getting stuck . Focus on anything other than the road. The workshop also highlighted the importance of regular inspections of all safety systems and surveillance cameras in the bus, ensuring that a first aid kit is always on board and applying the required safety procedures when leaving the bus.

The workshop also included a number of initiatives, including publicizing messages and emphasizing the roles and responsibilities of bus drivers and supervisors, and being very proactive in achieving the expected outcomes.
