Two health services in Abu Dhabi were among the big winners of this year’s Harvard Business Council (HBC) awards.
Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) has been praised for its efforts and success in managing the Covid-19 pandemic in Abu Dhabi. The institution received a “Diamond Award” for its response to the outbreak under the Good Practice Award.
SKMC has impressed with its ability to navigate the pandemic by launching a well-researched strategy and demonstrating outstanding professionalism and preparedness.
The judges praised the hospital’s ability to immediately shift its priorities to the ongoing health emergency, while maintaining focus on the well-being of patients and staff.
Al Dhafra Hospital is another institution that has been honoured. It has received an “Organization Gold Award” and has been recognized for its organizational excellence, including the implementation of total quality management principles.
Dr. Safa Azaat Al Mustafa, Acting CEO of SKMC, received the prestigious HBC Executive Diamond Award for his commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare.
She said: “I am honoured and honored to receive this award. I hope to continue to be motivated by a desire to surpass through my passion for my work.”
A total of 63 individuals and organizations received awards at the HBC event, bringing the total number of applicants to less than 5,000.
