MENA Industrial Gases Conference Abu Dhabi 2022 returns to the Middle East again today, three years and 15 years after the region’s last conference gasThe world’s first event.

Delegates to the two-day event will hear leading industry figures talk about the rapidly changing development of hydrogen, helium, carbon emissions and medical oxygen following Monday’s registration and welcome reception at the Luna Lounge on the rooftop of the Yas Island Circuit Centre. department.

Tuesday’s event at the Yas Island Convention Center will feature an opening keynote address by Hamid Sabzikari, Vice President and General Manager, Middle East, Egypt and Turkey, Air Products, the event’s lead sponsor. Exhibitors will also vigorously promote their latest products and services in the adjacent exhibition space.

In the first session of “The Hydrogen Economy – Developments in the Middle East”, David Edmondson of NEOM Green Hydrogen Company will discuss NGHC and building the world’s largest green hydrogen plant; The Green Hydrogen Ecosystem: Water, Wind, Solar and Ammonia”; Tina Andersen, Head of Sales & Applications Engineering, Hystar, will share her insights on “Next Generation PEM Electrolyzers in the MENA Region”.

The second session on Tuesday will focus on “Global Helium and the Role of the MENA Region in the Supply Chain”.

Speakers include Phil Kornbluth, Founder and President, Kornbluth Helium Consulting, who will update Helium Storage 4.0; Mazin Babiker, General Manager, Gulf Helium Services, who will reflect on trends and challenges in the global helium business; Swapnil Vichare, General Manager, Operations Group, Global Gases Group , he will talk about “Helium Supply Chain: A Key Success Factor”; and Savir Julka, INOXCVA IG Global Head, will present INOXCVA’s experience with Helium and Hydrogen applications: Demonstrating Helium 40′ ISO.

On Wednesday, Phil Brickell, Executive Director of the International Oxygen Manufacturers Association (IOMA), kicked off the program with a keynote address outlining key issues affecting the MENA region.

The third session focused on “optimizing the reduction of carbon emissions”.

Elie Adaimy, Business Development, Technology and Innovation Group Director, Gulf Cryo, will focus on ‘CO2 Emissions – From Waste to Value’; Simon Little, Sales Director, Chart Industries MEA and Clean Energy India, will talk about clean energy nexus; Technology at Air Products Middle East Director Doug Dee will focus on “The Role of Industrial Gases in Reducing Carbon Emissions”.

The fourth and final session focused on “Medical Oxygen and Security of Supply,” with insights from Robert Matiru, Director of Unitaid Programs (Medical Oxygen Needs in the MENA Region) and Jayseelan Anbalagan, Vice President of Technology and Engineering at Gulf Cryo (from Lessons Learned from the Covid Pandemic), Roger Sayeh, Secretary General of the Middle East Gas Association (Medical Gases in the Middle East: Standards and Harmonization Update), and Johann Kolstee, Program Manager for Access Medical Oxygen, Diagnostics and Vaccines Oxygen availability gap).

Following the exhibition and networking hours, there will be a closing Afterglow – Skylite event at Wet Deck 2, W Abu Dhabi Yas Island.
