Motorists get a traffic fine discount for two months after paying the fine traffic violationAbu Dhabi authorities announced on Wednesday.
The Emirates Police is urging motorists who break road laws to take advantage of the scheme, giving them a 35 per cent discount on fines paid within 60 days of breaking the law and a 25 per cent discount if they pay the fine within 60 days. day and year.
Under Abu Dhabi’s traffic laws, offenders can also pay fines in interest-free instalments to avoid vehicle seizures.
“This new initiative aims to encourage motorists to pay traffic fines and make it easy for them to clear all charges,” said Brig Mohammed Dahi Al Humairi, Director of Traffic and Patrol.
Motorists can pay traffic fines on the Abu Dhabi Police website or through the Smart Police app or Tamm app. Drivers can also pay directly at the Happiness and Customer Service Center.
They also get lower fees if they use credit cards from the following banks: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Mashreq Bank and Emirates Islamic Bank.
“The campaign will raise awareness of the prepayment violations and payment channels,” said Brig Al Humairi.
