ABU DHABI – Today, Abu Dhabi Sports Council launched Abu Dhabi 360, a program dedicated to helping everyone in the community achieve holistic wellness by redefining the personal, achievable journey of health and fitness.
The program, a comprehensive calendar of events designed to bring the community together and engage, is powered by an app that will help users set and achieve health goals not only related to nutrition and fitness, but also psychological Health and social connections are associated.
Abu Dhabi 360 defines wellness as a 360-degree balance of all aspects of wellness: physical, mental and social.
Abu Dhabi Sports Council’s Abu Dhabi 360 goals are driven by the government’s vision to become happier, healthier and more sustainable.
His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili said: “The Abu Dhabi 360 Campaign was launched by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council to spark a movement to improve health. It supports the vision of the Department of Community Development to help individuals through an inclusive program , their families and communities, the program will inspire everyone, regardless of size, size, age or skill level, to pursue personal health and balance. Together we work to make Abu Dhabi the healthiest, happiest and most sustainable The program is being implemented with a number of government partners across the emirate in the course of social life and visits.”
The Abu Dhabi 360 app provides users with personalized guidance, encouragement, exercise tracking, challenges, recipes and other wellness resources. It will also celebrate users’ victories by rewarding them with points for completing various challenges, including team and community challenges, which they can redeem for event tickets, prizes and more. The app integrates with wearable devices, enabling users to be supported wherever they go.
John Bromley, public health consultant and director of the UK’s National Center for Social Marketing, said: “Abu Dhabi 360 will be a real game-changer for public health. Their behavior, these tools will enable them to improve their own health. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels empowered, motivated and given the opportunity to be more active in their daily lives.”
A launch event was held at the Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Center today, which included an installation of four immersive wellness zones.
