Abu Dhabi has launched a water taxi service, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) said late on Thursday.

Citing the emirate’s maritime authority, WAM said the public water taxi service would serve the Yas Bay and Raha beach communities, making stops at “high demand” locations such as Yas Bay, Yas Marina and Bandar, with more to follow. many.
“The public water taxi service will enhance connectivity between Abu Dhabi’s many waterfront attractions while providing the public with an alternative transport option,” WAM said in a statement.
The service will run 7 days a week.
“We look forward to offering a new and unique travel experience to the public on Abu Dhabi Waterways through this new service and advancing an intermodal integrated transport system in the emirate,” said Captain Saif Al Mheiri, Managing Director, Abu Dhabi Sea.
Abu Dhabi Maritime Authority, a branch of the emirate’s Ministry of Municipalities and Transport, operates the water taxi service.
