Abu Dhabi University graduates named country’s most employable

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Times Higher Education (THE) has released its annual graduate employability rankings, and Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has been ranked best in the United Arab Emirates in this important criterion of effective education. THE surveyed more than 1,600 institutions in nearly 100 countries and ranked ADU the highest in the UAE, second in the GCC and third in the Arab region. These results place ADU among the top 250 universities in the world as ranked by THE, which comprises elite institutions led by MIT and Oxford for graduate value. ADU is ranked 179th among these world-leading institutions.

Following the University’s Business and Economics ranking first in the UAE and joint second in the Arab region, in the world’s top 175 in the Times Higher Education Subject Rankings, and 301-350 overall in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings An outstanding performance in global employability rankings has since cemented Abu Dhabi University’s position not only among elite institutions in the Arab region, but also internationally.

Commenting on the results, Abu Dhabi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Waqar Ahmad said: “Abu Dhabi University (ADU) excels in teaching, research and student experience. ADU holds a number of prestigious international accreditations at both program and university level. ADU offers more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and the built environment, business and management, media and education, law and health sciences. ADU Provost, Professor Thomas Hochstettlernoted: “We change the lives of young people, preparing them to excel in further study and employment. Regardless of the subject of study, our mantra is that our graduates will be equipped with technical, interpersonal and leadership skills, from You can excel in the workplace from day one. The Times Higher Education Global Employability Rankings represent the findings of a survey of recruiters at the world’s top companies, focusing on recruiters’ perceptions of the universities that best prepare graduates for work. Employers vote for universities in their own country if they do global recruitment in other countries. Only the top 250 universities worldwide are listed in the ranking.

Universities from 44 countries feature in the top 250 listed institutions, including nine institutions from the Arab region.
