On New Year’s Eve, the Sheikh Zayed Festival attracted more than one million visitors from the UAE and abroad, who gathered at Al Wathba to usher in the New Year 2023 with the largest fireworks and drone display that broke four Guinness World Records.
The Sheikh Zayed Festival grounds were packed with spectators for a fantastic drone and fireworks display, a first for the region and a Guinness World Record for a show lasting around 60 minutes.
In a festive atmosphere, the largest firework display lasted for more than 40 minutes as more than 3000 drones took to the skies of Al Wathba with lights of different colors and formations, providing the crowd with an extraordinary experience and welcoming message. Commenting on the wonderful milestone, Guinness World Records referee Al Waleed Osman confirmed that the Sheikh Zayed Festival broke four records during the event, three of which were fireworks displays, And the spectacular drone show set a new record.
