Abu Dhabi’s original, largest and still free yoga market returns this March

[ad_1]

Nama-stay blessed Abu Dhabi…

Dust off the chakras and beautify the poses, as the Bodytree Yoga Market returns to Abu Dhabi for another family-friendly, greeting-filled Zen day.

As always, offering a dizzying schedule of wellness and mindfulness activities, with a special cameo from Laura Weston.

The date is March 4th at the Shala in Bodytree itself – the indoor and open-air terrace space of the brand’s studio, on the corner of Hazza Bin Zayed and Mubarak Bin Mohammed streets. While entry to the market is free, if you buy a Dhs200 pass, you can attend all classes and workshops throughout the day.

a bit far-fetched

The initiation tour begins at 9am, with Charlene leading a power flow session – all about keeping the yogis energized and alive, and putting you in the right space to fully absorb the day’s experience. Another morning class is Angela’s Radiant Flow class, which uses long, creative and expressive asana sequences to fully immerse you in the flow. Vidya will host a Fascia Floss yogic flex sesh to help you control the fascia of your body from nose to toe.

Carlos, Lillian, and Sharifa, co-founder of Bodytree Studio, will give workshops throughout the day on topics including the Franklin Method, breath embodying, happy feet, and healthy spine dancing.

Angela will provide a quick 10 minute astrology consultation from noon to 3pm. With the stars as your guide, and your natal Sun, Moon, and Ascendant—Angela will attempt to uncover the unspoken truths about who you really are, how you feel, and beyond.

laughing baby

A common mantra among the brightest yogis is that you’re never too young to start cultivating a healthy body and a healthy mind (although here, for practicality, the age range is as low as four). We agree, in fact, if you need any real-world reassurance about the disruption of living a life outside of harmony and balance, check out the author’s bio. At Yoga Market, Abeer instructs young children in the basics of yoga, with an emphasis on body awareness, self-control, flexibility, and coordination (ages 4 to 12).

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper place without artisan suppliers for trinkets and bespoke fashion. This time, local and international collaborators include Powder Beauty, Kata & Asana, Rumi, Sand Dollar and Unwrapped.

Bodytree Studio, Hazza Bin Zayed and Mubarak Bin Mohammed Street, Saturday March 4th, 9am-4pm, free entry. @bodytreestudio
