Taraka Ratna, grandson of late movie icon NT Rama Rao and cousin of Tollywood star Jr NTR, was participating in political activities for his party, the Telugu Desham Party, when he suffered a heart attack and collapsed. The actor and politician was initially taken to a hospital in Cooperam. He was later transferred to Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bengaluru.

My heartfelt condolences to all his loved ones and loved ones. Osanti.” Anil Ravipudi tweeted: “Listen Disappointing news of the passing of #NandamuriTarakaRatna garu. Gone so soon! My deepest condolences to his family and their loved ones. You will be missed but never forgotten!”
Nandamuri Taraka Ratna is survived by a wife and daughter.
