[ad_1]

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC (ADCB) is the highest-ranked bank among GCC Banks and one of the top five companies in the region in Forbes “World’s Best Employers 2022” list. The list includes 800 global companies released this month following a survey of 57 countries.

Forbes, in partnership with research firm Statista, surveyed 150,000 employees worldwide to determine which companies excel in areas such as impact, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility.

Only nine companies from the Middle East were included in the global list, and ADCB was the only bank in the UAE.

Group CEO Ala’a Eraiqat said: “ADCB always puts people first and I am delighted to see global recognition of our status as an employer of choice. Our people are at the heart of how we operate and our role as a responsible organisation. The real driver of the effort to make a long-term impact.

“With the aim of contributing to the UAE’s ambition to achieve a sustainable, inclusive economy, we ensure that our people are the focus of the Bank’s strategy and that our values of integrity, care, ambition, respect and discipline are embedded in our culture .”

Ali Darwish, Group Head of Human Resources, said: “ADCB is committed to maintaining its position as a top employer through continuous improvement in a wide range of areas including diversity and inclusion, work environment and competitive advantage.

significant differentiation

“The bank’s training and career development programmes are a significant differentiator for the industry, with more than 280,000 hours of learning at the end of September in areas such as digital technology, data security, consumer protection, customer experience and data analytics. Today, ADCB Group employees come from more than 80 countries and women make up 42% of the workforce.

“We are also proud that 38% of our staff are UAE nationals and we are eager to continue to support their development so that they can play an active role in the long-term development of the UAE.”

ADCB’s inclusion in the Forbes list follows a wide-ranging Organizational Health Index (OHI) survey conducted in 2021. The survey ranked the bank in the top quartile for alignment and control, innovation and learning, external orientation, and for leadership, competence, accountability and work environment. — arab trade news agency
