Optimism on Technology Impact: AI Identified

The findings showcase a strong positive outlook among UAE employees, with 84% expressing that new technologies are instrumental in helping them reach their full potential. Interestingly, UAE employees stand out in their optimism about the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on jobs compared to their counterparts in Europe, with 74% believing that AI presents the most significant opportunity for the future workforce. An overwhelming 82% expressed the belief that additional education in technology and digital skills would boost their confidence in career prospects. As a result, 72% recommended that formal education on AI and coding should be mandatory before the age of 18, while an equal percentage suggested the need for standardized qualifications in digital skills that employers can recognize.

Business Responsibility and Commitment: AI Identified

Furthermore, 81% of UAE employees asserted that businesses bear a responsibility to promote the development of AI skills within the workforce. Mark Ackerman, Area VP for Middle East & Africa at ServiceNow, emphasized the importance of thoughtful investments in digital technologies in the workplace.
