Abu Dhabi Airways, the first low-cost carrier in the UAE capital, has announced the launch of two new routes from Abu Dhabi to Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq.
Starting June 22, new direct flights will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport with Baghdad International Airport and Erbil International Airport twice a week. The airline will fly the Airbus A320 every Wednesday and Saturday.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia, said: “We are delighted to launch Abu Dhabi Airways’ first flights to Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq, further expanding our growing route network from the UAE capital. “This new route reinforces our commitment to leisure and business travelers, while providing them with enhanced travel experiences and value-added services across its network. At Air Arabia, we are committed to continuing to expand our connectivity in Abu Dhabi , making a positive contribution to the tourism industry in the UAE.”
Abu Dhabi Air Arabia began operations in July 2020 and since then, the airline has continued to expand its global network and now flies directly to 31 destinations from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Air Arabia operates a fleet of 68 Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft, the most modern and best-selling single-aisle aircraft in the world.
The plane is also equipped with “SkyTime,” a free inflight streaming service that allows passengers to stream a variety of entertainment directly to their devices. Passengers can also enjoy a wide range of delicacies between snacks, meals and sandwiches at affordable prices from the onboard “SkyCafe” menu. – trade arab news agency
