Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s millionth passenger wins free flight for a year

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi To celebrate its one-millionth passenger flight, the company is offering lucky travelers unlimited tickets for a year.

The low-cost airline surprised the winner on Tuesday when she checked in at Abu Dhabi International Airport for a flight to Tbilisi, Georgia.

The airline recently celebrated its second year of operation and has now carried one million passengers on more than 8,000 flights from the UAE capital.

Flying to 25 destinations including Egypt, India, Pakistan, Oman and Georgia, the airline’s lucky passengers can visit many.

“Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has performed exceptionally well in a short period of time, underscoring the growing demand for low-cost travel,” Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, managing director and chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Airport, where the airline operates, said.

After launching during the Covid-19 pandemic, Arab Abu Dhabi Airways has become one of the UAE’s leading low-cost airlines.

“During the global pandemic, we are proud to celebrate this milestone two years after the airline’s inception, reflecting our confidence in the fundamentals of the aviation industry and our ability to support Abu Dhabi’s travel and tourism growth by providing residents with commitment and cost-effective travel options backed by world-class service standards,” said Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Ali.

Earlier this week, the budget airline announced its 25th destination, opening flights between Abu Dhabi and Beirut.

Beginning October 30, a new direct flight to Lebanon will operate three times a week to Beirut Trafic Hariri International Airport.

Flights are scheduled to depart Abu Dhabi every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 9am and land in the Lebanese capital by noon.

Since the start of operations, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s fleet has grown from two Airbus A320s to eight. More aircraft are expected to join by the end of the year.
