Airport Show will open in Dubai on May 9

The 22nd edition of Airport Expo kicks off tomorrow (May 9) at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), a three-day trade show showcasing a range of new technologies and innovations in airport sustainability, digitalization and urban air mobility .

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airline and Group, the show will feature More than 150 exhibitors and 4,000 traders from 20 countries Visitors from more than 20 countries.

The 22nd edition will feature more than 100 buyers from more than 20 countries and pavilions from four countries: Italy, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland.

The Airport Show and its concurrent events ATC Forum, Middle East Airport Security, Global Airport Leaders Forum and Women in Aviation Annual Conference will create business opportunities for the world’s leading airport suppliers and service providers as well as regional airport decision makers.

Exhibitors from various countries such as the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Turkey, the Netherlands, China, Belgium, South Korea and Sweden, as well as the host United Arab Emirates, will showcase the latest innovative products and technologies to make the aviation industry safe and sustainable, Improve efficiency and passenger experience with the expected increase in passenger numbers and the growth of the airline industry.

The trade show with the theme of “Innovating Future Sustainable Airport Together” is the world’s largest annual B2B platform for the airport industry.

Attendees can participate in the Business Connections Program and enjoy exclusive business matching services.

It will also host industry-specific conferences, including the Global Airport Leaders Forum, where more than 30 top-tier speakers will discuss the latest developments and trends in the global aviation industry.

Expert speakers from around the world will discuss airport security, the future of travel, airports of the future, safe skies, passenger experience with the latest technology, and sustainability.

Dubai Airports Show is supported by Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Aeronautical Engineering Project, Dubai Airports and dnata, and sponsored by ADB Safegate, Smiths Detection and HADID International Services.

Organized by RX Global, it will host a co-located event, the 10th Anniversary of the Women in Aviation (WIA) Middle East Chapter, to further the agenda of engaging women across the board.

Airport industry stakeholders will share new ideas and best practices and create new prospects for collaboration at another co-located Global Airport Leadership Forum (GALF). Other concurrent events will see discussions on air traffic control, airport security, ground handling and sustainability, especially in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia regions. The sustainable aprons, organized jointly with dnata, will be an important highlight.
