Al Ghurair invests in learning and development

Al Ghurair Investment, one of the largest diversified family-owned business groups in the UAE, has announced the successful completion of its first executive and senior leadership development programme.

Launched 18 months ago by the group’s People and Culture (P&C) division to drive enhanced learning and development (L&D) opportunities, the programs mark a major milestone in Al Ghurair Investment’s ongoing journey of group-wide cultural transformation , solidifying its reputation as a recognized top employer.

The Executive Leadership Program (ELP), run in partnership with the IE Business School in Madrid, was marked by the graduation of the first cohort, including 26 candidates, in a ceremony held on March 8th. The ELP is a structured leadership development program and tailored learning experience focused on senior executives, offering candidates ample opportunity to interact with industry experts and engage in a variety of mentoring, group and individual learning activities.

Key areas covered by the program include purpose-driven strategy, leadership, innovation, change and customer focus, as well as other key topics designed to develop ‘future-fit’ leaders, which are then applied to business-related Capstone project.

In addition to the ELP, Al Ghurair Investment has launched the Advanced Leadership Development Program (ALP), a structured leadership program designed for Fit For Future Leaders with a focus on front-line managers. Offering a similar structure to the ELP, the ALP has seen 15 candidates graduate, bringing them closer to their career goals.
