- Spectacular 10-minute fireworks array returns to Al Maryah Island this New Year’s Eve, with an exciting countdown to midnight on the promenade to mark the start of 2023
ABU DHABI: Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier business and lifestyle destination, is counting down to 2023 in style with an unmissable New Year’s Eve celebration. The island’s five-star hotels, luxury shopping and dining venues will invite community members to enjoy extraordinary experiences, and an inspiring 10-minute fireworks display on the promenade will provide an unforgettable end to this highly anticipated evening.
New Year’s festivities will be celebrated island-wide, including the world-class Rosewood Abu Dhabi, which will host Squire’s annual Glo New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball from 9pm to 4am. This incredible evening will feature a line-up of extraordinary artists such as Keith Dobbs and Rob Forrest in DJ’s, Milan on saxophone, Ghaith on percussion and exciting dance performances overlooking Abu Dhabi’s extraordinary skyline and spectacular fireworks Performance. The hotel also offers experiences such as fine dining at Em Sherif Sea Café, which offers set menus and live entertainment, Gin O’clock at Hidden Bar, Yum Cha at Dai Pai Dong, and dinner at Aqua.
At the world-renowned Four Seasons, guests can enjoy stylish dining and stunning views from 7:00 pm at Al Meylas, Butcher and Still, Café Milano, Crust and Eclipse. For added fun, Waterfront Dining Restaurants at The Galleria offers a variety of set menus to match the stunning views.
As part of the festival, the island also hosts a winter wonderland with exciting games, activities and shows. Al Maryah Island’s South Plaza has been transformed into an outdoor winter village with snow-covered huts and festive decorations, open daily from 4pm to 10pm until 31 December. Meanwhile, The Ripe Market is now open, offering an exciting array of events, entertainment and live performances. Open every weekend until April 2023, the market is a platform for local businesses to promote their wares, including live cooking stations, arts and crafts, and take-home retail items. As a special New Year’s treat, both events will remain open until 1:00 am.
