Emirates Issues Alert as Peak Travel Approaches in Two Days for Dubai Flights

Alert Dubai’s leading airline, Emirates, has issued a warning to passengers about an anticipated surge at the airport set to commence in two days.

Festive Month Departures

Passengers traveling in December are advised to plan their journeys meticulously, especially as departure numbers are expected to peak during the festive month, encompassing the UAE National Day and Christmas holidays.

Peak Passenger Numbers: Alert

On most December weekends, the airline forecasts that over 75,000 Emirates passengers will be departing from Dubai International Airport (DXB) each day.

Busiest Winter Ever:

Alert

DXB had recently announced preparations for its “busiest winter ever,” with seven international airlines introducing services to nine new destinations.

Tips to Navigate Airport Rush: Alert

Emirates provides passengers with the following tips to navigate the airport rush effectively:

  1. Early Arrival: Arrive at the airport up to 3 hours before your flight and be aware of your boarding time for timely departure.
  2. Check-In Options: Utilize various check-in and baggage drop options, including Emirates City Check-In, Travel Store, refurbished First and Business Class Check-In areas, private home check-in services, or remote check-in facilities.
  3. Digital Services: Leverage digital services such as online check-in, app check-in (available 48 hours ahead of departure), and the ability to book and modify flights, download digital boarding passes, receive flight notifications, pre-order meals in Business Class, and plan in-flight entertainment.
  4. Early Bag Drop: Passengers departing from Dubai can check in and drop off their bags 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours before if flying to the US. DUBZ, a service allowing early check-in and luggage drop, enables a smooth airport experience.
  5. Home Check-In: DUBZ agents facilitate check-in at the customer’s home, hotel, or office, providing convenience and a hassle-free airport experience. This service is complimentary for First Class passengers.
  6. Special Assistance: Emirates offers dedicated support for People of Determination during the festive period, including a pre-planning guide, complimentary parking, and access to priority lanes for check-in, passport control, security, and boarding if needed.

With these recommendations, Emirates aims to ensure a seamless and efficient travel experience for passengers during the busy December period.
