Last spots in Showstoppers Round filled American idol. Katy Perry, Lionel Richieand Luke Bryan Work was placed on them during the “Final Judgment”, further narrowing down the list of 55 people. There’s plenty of drama, heightened emotions, and some shocking fan favorites. Then at the end of the episode, the judges reveal a surprising twist.
The contestants did put on a show for the audience, backed by bands, before learning their fate.Those who chose to continue on were informed that they would continue their journey at Disney’s Aulani Resort on the Island of Olina, Hawaii Idol travel.

Paige Anne vs. Megan Danielle
In the Sunday, April 9 episode, the two are called into a room together for a “final judgment.” They were asked to perform solos so the judges could hear them one more time before deciding who to pass. Paige and Megan alternate on Adele’s “Easy on Me.” Luke reveals that Meghan will move on.
Marybeth Bird
The radio DJ from Armorel, Arkansas had a blast with Carrie Underwood’s “Flat on the Floor.” The small-town girl with big dreams admits it’s not her best voice. Luke was surprised by some of the voice choices. Finally, she did enough to move on.
oliver steele
The 25-year-old took us back to the 1980s with his cool rendition of Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” He spoke about his struggles with self-confidence issues, but found that the more he improved in his game, the more he felt validated for himself. Katie says musicians like him tend to overthink. She went on to say he was his own hero who didn’t need anyone’s approval and welcomed him into the top 24. Oliver must then announce the good news to his beloved father.
Emma Booth
The theater performer brings a little drama flair to Adele’s “Chasing the Sidewalk.” “It’s top ten material,” Katie heard the 20-year-old Canadian say on stage. Such comments came as no surprise when Lionel told her she would be in the next round.
Preston Duffy
“Young Luke Bryan” brought Jason Alding’s “Crazy Town” to life from the moment he ran onto the stage. Katie thinks the country runner is cool. Luke just wished his voice was louder. He feels the 21-year-old is not quite ready yet and that this is the end game. Luke did say that if he was playing at his age, he probably wouldn’t be ready.
Elijah McCormick
America’s Voting Platinum Ticket with CeCe Winans’ “Believe For It.” After surviving a near-fatal car accident a few years ago, Luke feels the 21-year-old has found meaning in life, and it shows on stage.Ophthalmic technicians who pull on the heartstrings will continue to fight for themselves Idol Dream.
Elise Kristen and Olivia Thorley
Two of Vegas’ standouts head into “Final Judgment” together. Elise sang notes from Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good,” Katie said. “We saw people die to that song, and she didn’t,” Luke said. Katie also called Olivia an incredible talent. The 20-year-old turned the tables on another Celine Dion hit, “All By Myself.” She is known as Redhead Ariana Grande. Katie said there was a lot of debate among the judges and chose to let them all pass.
Dawson Wayne
The 21-year-old said ahead of the performance that it was a story about his faith, letting the audience know they were so loved. He then sang Cody Fry’s “Flying,” hoping to send a positive message. Lionel said he liked what he heard and later revealed the student would be in the top 24.

Platinum ticket winner Cam just found out that his girlfriend is pregnant and feels pressure. Lionel asked him what was in his head that led to the mixed performance. The 27-year-old wanted to show the judges what he could do in “The Impossible Dream (Mission)” in “The Man of La Mancha.” The server felt confident afterwards, and he did enough to move forward. Unfortunately, the judges didn’t think so. Lionel gave him some words of encouragement on the way out and said they still believed in him.

Katie admires how Caroline lets her hair down and shows a different side of herself with “Iris” from The Goo Goo Dolls. However, the 25-year-old social media manager didn’t make the top 24.
Mikenley Brown
The 17-year-old took on Brandi Carlile’s “Joke”. Sadly, a string of rejections ensued as the judges decided the fan-favorite high school student wasn’t ready and sent her home.

The 21-year-old is nervous going into the “Showstoppers Round,” which is where she will be eliminated in 2021. She aptly sang Miley Cyrus’ “Climb.” The daycare worker sadly experienced the déjà vu of hearing the same bad news a second time.
Maria Faith
The hairstylist was nervous when her name was called in front of the judges after seeing so many people go home. Luke praised her personality as a country soul singer. The 21-year-old’s unique style is on full display in Waylon Jennings’ “I Ain’t Live Long Like This.” Luke said she made it into the top 24.
Hannah Nicholasson
The former volleyball player is hoping for a spot in the next round of Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Want to Be.” The 23-year-old felt she sang best, and the judges agreed. Hannah moves on to the next round of match, match, match.
nelia serenity
The retail consultant and astrologer wanted to tap into the more vulnerable side of Luther Vandross’ “superstar.” Katy praised the performance and was amazed that she had another ace. When she made it into the top 24, you could tell the stars came together to support the 22-year-old.
Tre Luis
This school shooting survivor was nervous watching many of her favorite people being sent home.luke called him a winner American idol In terms of personality, this is evident in his rendition of Blackberry Smoke’s “Waiting for the Thunder”. The 21-year-old mattress salesman wore a Texas shirt and opted for Eric Church sunglasses for the look. Trey admitted the performance wasn’t his best. Luke said he just missed the top 24. Despite the setback, Trey said he found himself on stage.
Matt Wilson, Colin Stough and Iam Tongi
The three early contestants who emerged from the New Orleans audition were first inspired to achieve their Idol A loved one’s dream. Matt, a 21-year-old teacher’s aide, sang Chris Brown’s “Forever.” Lionel loves his vibe. Colin, an 18-year-old HVAC technician, performed Chris Stapleton’s “Cold.” Katie thinks he looks like an artist now. Iam, an 18-year-old native of Hawaii, felt he was taking a risk by choosing a darker song on Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence.” Lionel said it was all they wanted. A teary-eyed Katie added that’s what the show is about. Without a doubt, I won the top 24…but unexpectedly, Katie revealed that there was so much talent, it was actually the top 26, and he was joined by Colin and Matt.
