Grand Rapids Film Festival Screenings and Events
This Grand Rapids Film Festival It will be held from September 23rd to September 25th.
The event will feature a free kickoff party at the MUSE in Grand Rapids on September 23rd.
On September 24, the event will take place at the Black Pigeon in Grand Rapids. These include photography and acting workshops and a 24-hour film challenge. For these events, a registration fee is required to participate.
Additionally, free screenings submitted by the festival will be held at Studio Park in downtown Grand Rapids on September 25. The show starts at 10 am and will continue throughout the day. Submissions include films, short films, music videos, commercials, and one-minute microfilms.
The festival will hold an awards ceremony after screenings at 5pm

The festival aims to highlight the combination of art, music, science and technology.
The event will feature music showcases in the Studio Park listening room, with performances by Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers on Friday and Tall Tall Trees on Saturday.
Other events include an innovation showcase that showcases technology from local companies, the Maker Expo to showcase the work of artisans, artists and other creators. There is also a hands-on activity for children. The program is free to the public.
REB’s Art Workshops and Lectures
On September 24, Grand Rapids artist and GVSU alumna REB will present three Art Creation Course as part of an ArtPrize campaign.
Individuals can bring recyclable materials into the program to create artwork that they can take home or donate to the KDL Library’s sustainable art exhibit.
This event is held at the KDL Library in East Grand Rapids and will begin at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. Each meeting will last one hour.
Folk music performance at ArtRat Gallery
“Grace Notes: Celebrating marginalized identities in American folk music!will be held at ArtRat Gallery in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 25th from 5-6pm.
The event features Gray Reynolds, Nic Gareiss and Ruby John, who will perform traditional folk music and dance. The show expands on the “Grace Notes” project currently on display at ArtRat.
Participation in this event is free.
“Sea Rough Experience” at ArtRat Gallery
“rough sea experiencewill be held at ArtRat Gallery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, September 22-29, 6-8 p.m.
This free event features poetry, music, performance and visual projects, and features marginalized communities and new artists.
