Canadian electric vehicle company AXL will present its new star, an all-electric SUV called the SharX-5, at the EVIS Summit in Abu Dhabi from May 29-31.
Canadian newcomer to promising electric vehicle market chooses GCC countries as its first market, giving people living in Gulf countries the chance to be the first in the world to pre-order their SharX-5 for free, with deliveries expected in 2024 February date.

“Our new SUV, the SharX-5, is comparable to the best vehicles on the market, and we have put in careful effort to make it a new star in the market, with state-of-the-art features and a range of 500 kilometers,” said AXL CEO official added.
The Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) is gearing up for its second edition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center under the motto “Where Electric Vehicle Innovations Meet” for electric vehicle manufacturers, engineers, experts, business leaders and EV-people from around the world. Relevant agencies can network and explore the latest technology and regulatory trends, and market their vehicles.
At last year’s first EVIS Summit, AXL witnessed first-hand the enormous interest in EV technology and possibilities in the region. “That’s why we decided to host our world debut at this year’s event, with the GCC as our first market,” said Vicky Snyder, Head of Communications at AXL.
They will give visitors the exclusive opportunity to reserve their own SharX-5 SUV, which offers performance comparable to its competitors but at a more affordable price.
According to the SharX-5 launch plan, deliveries to GCC countries will begin in February 2024. AXL will then enter selected European and Asian markets and, in 2025, the North American market.
