Banyan Tree launches Stay For Good initiative

[ad_1]

Multi-brand hotel group Banyan Tree has launched the Stay For Good program, which aims to provide travelers with authentic and immersive experiences, encouraging them to form deeper connections with each destination.

The initiative also respects heritage and traditions and helps create more opportunities for local communities.

This multi-brand program takes travelers on a journey to some of the world’s most unique and little-known destinations. From the millennia-old traditions and crafts of Kyoto, Japan, to the colonial architecture and cultural traditions of Puebla, Mexico, there are countless experiences to suit everyone’s needs.

Some highlights include:

Fruit, Banyan Tree – Guests will visit the nearby village of Singaperang and follow a local farmer as he tours his land in search of native fruits and edible plants such as green beans, peppercorns and cemcem leaves. They will also taste raw honey from stingless bees and round off the experience with traditional local food handmade by the farmer’s wife.
Kyoto Galileo Nijo Castle – Since the Jomon period more than 2,000 years ago, the Japanese have covered their homes with thatched roofs (kayabuki) made from environmentally friendly grass-based materials. Guests will visit traditional houses with thatched roofs and, with expert guidance, try to make one of the roofs by tying thin grass together.
Banyan Tree Puebla – Guests will travel to the nearby village of San Jerónimo Tecuanipan to visit Casita de Barro, an institution exploring simple, sustainable ways of living and sharing traditional farming methods with the local community.

The entire program offers a wide range of activities and experiences carefully curated by our team, including exploring the bamboo forests of Anji, China, discovering the Nyonya heritage of Penang, and learning about the minority Muslim community in Krabi, Thailand.

Adhiyanto Goen, Head of Communications, Banyan Tree, said: “We believe that travel should be more than just a vacation. It should be an opportunity to explore new perspectives, gain new inspiration and immerse yourself in the culture and heritage of the places we go. Our Stay The For Good program provides just that – an opportunity to connect with local communities and contribute to maintaining their valuable heritage.”

“Our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility is at the heart of everything we do. Our approach is inspired by the concept of regenerative tourism, which is reflected in the range of sustainability-related activities we offer our guests. We believe that through Travel and tourism has the potential to positively impact the communities we visit and the environments in which we operate,” he added.

The Stay For Good program will gradually be rolled out to all Banyan Tree properties worldwide, including Banyan Tree, Angsana, Cassia, Dawa, Gallia and Home. – trade arab news agency
