The UAE’s most anticipated temple is taking shape and we can’t stop bragging about its grandeur. Indian Ambassador to the UAE Sunjay Sudhir invited several guests to showcase the cultural fabric that is in full swing. Envoys from 30 countries were invited to the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi.

Envoys from 30 countries visited the near-construction BAPS Hindu temple complex in Abu Dhabi to demonstrate cohesion and admiration for other cultures. On May 25, representatives of diplomatic associations from more than 30 countries visited the future BAPS Hindu temple complex in Abu Dhabi. Sunjay Sudhir started the tour with an update on the development of the temple since the foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018.

He described the temple project as representative of India and the UAE’s historical and cultural closeness, and their shared ideals of cohabitation, harmony and respect.

In addition, he briefly highlighted the temple’s symbolic portrayal of the links that connect India and the UAE historically and culturally. Ambassador Sudhir introduced the latest progress of the temple throughout the visit. He commended the UAE leadership’s commitment to developing an inclusive, ethnically diverse and cooperative society.

How was the envoy’s experience?

Elaborate columns, façades and rafters dotted with Emirati and Indian cultural symbols wowed the envoys. They had the opportunity to speak with Brahmaviharidas Swami, the guiding authority on the project. He is the lead for this upcoming project. He briefly introduced the features of the temple to the envoys. The temple seeks to be a unique symbol of peace, tolerance and harmony, as well as an architectural marvel. It showcases the beliefs of Hindu mythology and other world religions. The envoys were very pleased with the informative and wonderful tour at the BAPS Hindu Temple. The completion of this mammoth project has been eagerly awaited by the Indian expatriate community, who consider the UAE their second home, as well as Indians everywhere. When it is completed, it will be an even more testament to the longstanding relationship between India and the UAE.
