Yes, you read that right, recently the National Basketball Association, the International Basketball Federation and the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism announced that Asian Basketball Without Borders will be held in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. This will be the 13th outreach program and will begin on June 2nd and run through June 5th. The competition will be held on the NYU campus in Abu Dhabi. But what makes it so exciting is that this is the first time the NBA and FIBA ​​are hosting Basketball Without Borders here.

Speaking of the program, this will bring together talented male and female players aged 18 and under from all over Asia. Here, they’ll learn from current and former NBA, WNBA and FIBA ​​players, legends and coaches, while competing against their peers in the region. The outreach program will also help campuses and coaches, engage in life skills, leadership development and community service programs.
