Beeah Education collaborates with Ajman University for a competition

Beeah Education, a subsidiary of the renowned Beeah Group, a regional sustainability pioneer, announces a partnership with Ajman University’s College of Business Administration to launch an exclusive competition. Organized by Beeah Education’s Institute of Environmental Management and Sustainability, Middle East (IEMS), the competition revolves around the theme “Sustainability for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.”

Aligned with the UAE’s commitment to the “Year of Sustainability” in 2023 and the upcoming COP28 event, this competition aims to inspire students to address global challenges through innovative entrepreneurial solutions.

Hind Al Hawaii, Chief Education Officer at Beeah Group, emphasizes the importance of engaging future generations in sustainability efforts and preparing them to lead climate mitigation and sustainable development initiatives. Through this partnership with Ajman University, they aim to empower students to become decision-makers and change agents for a net-zero economy and sustainable cities.

The competition is open to students from all colleges within Ajman University, ranging from freshmen to post-graduate students. Participants will form groups and, over four days, delve into sustainability issues, brainstorm ideas, and generate innovative solutions.

They will also attend workshops on “Sustainability & Circular Economy” and “Entrepreneurship & Innovation” and visit Beeah Group’s Waste Management Complex to gain practical insights into sustainability and the role of a circular economy.

Dr. [Name], Dean of the College of Business Administration at Ajman University, highlights the university’s commitment to providing students with holistic education and the skills needed to become future leaders. By partnering with Beeah Education, they aim to inspire students to support the UAE’s ambitions in sustainable development and climate change action.

The competition’s finale will feature student presentations to a panel of judges, including experts from Beeah Group and Ajman University’s management. The top three winning ideas will receive cash prizes totaling AED10,000 during the awards ceremony at Beeah Headquarters on October 29. Registration for the competition is open from September 19 to 29.
