Here are some places where you can find used books for sale at reasonable prices, as well as libraries where you can become a member and get as many books as you want.
- Book Hero – Available at over 15 locations in Dubai, where you’ll find new and used books starting from AED 10.The stores also host cultural events such as spoken word and storytelling
- House of Prose – A used book agency that has been selling used books since the 90’s. The flagship store is located in the heart of Times Square.
- Reading4animals Book Sale – Held regularly as part of the ARTE Maker Market, at this second-hand book sale you will not only have a huge selection of books, but you will also be supporting animals as 100% of the proceeds go to support stray animals.
- Old Libraries – Why not become a member at one of the oldest libraries in the UAE? It was founded in 1969 as a non-profit organization run by volunteers. All proceeds are used to cover its costs.
- Dubai Library – Get access to any membership of the Dubai Culture Public Library by visiting the Dubai Culture website or through the Dubai Public Library app.
