Bridgestone Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA), a global leader in tires and sustainable mobility solutions, has appointed Jacques Fourie as Vice President and Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa region.
He will assume the role of Vice President Middle East and Africa effective 1 January 2023, in addition to continuing in his role as Group CEO of the Southern African holding company, which includes BSAF, Supa Quick, Otraco and Bandag.
Fourie has over 21 years of experience and joined the Bridgestone Group in 2019 as Group Chief Executive of its South African operations. He was instrumental in driving a transformational culture across the company which resulted in profitability recovery, market share growth, Best Employer certification and Tier 1 Contributor to BBB-EE (South African Government’s Transformation Program to Address Inequality) and Pooley Stone Stone EMIA acquires mining solutions company Otraco. Fourie holds a BA Honors degree in Finance and studied at the Gordon Business School (GIBS) and London Business School (LBS) Business Schools.
