Bringing in the next wave of fashion talent in the UAE

In order to find the next batch of UAE design talents, luxurious Five students were selected from Esmod Dubai, the prestigious French school that has been operating in the region since 2008, and four students from Fad Dubai, the region’s leading fashion school.

Fad’s Rakshana Krishnan, Kalistar, Tijani Adeimpe and Dhara Sheth put together some vibrant ideas. Krishnan’s sassy dress is made from layered lace and gingham, while Sheth offers a simpler fit that adds a graphic 3D bodice over the LBD. Kalistar showed a silver suit with mesh under flared pants, while Adeimpe created a dizzying array of creative gowns that presented a twisted alternative to evening wear.

New talents from Esmod include Janta Kumari, Taruni Kottakota, Arjun Naveen, Alaa Elghrabli and Fatima Saad.

Working in New York around the idea of ​​a young Pakistani woman, Kumari fuses hip-hop with traditional embroidery to create modern, transformable pieces, while Kottakota takes a Victorian Gothic aesthetic and creates dry flowers and petticoats A look reminiscent of the mighty Miss Charles Haversham was Dickens’ lofty expectations.

Naveen deconstructs denim, using rust, laser etching and latex to create unique fabrics that are cut to curvy seams for jeans and jackets, while Elghrabli, who is also a painter, creates the look with pockets, flaps at the center of the artist’s actual needs and surfaces can be stored, held and cleaned with brushes.

Meanwhile, Saad displayed a rare flair for fashion, with a cocktail look adorned with oversized bows like a train. In a field full of raw talent, she’s demonstrated a skill well beyond her years that makes her a name to watch.
