Aldar Properties will create jobs for 1,000 UAE nationals in the next five years, in line with the ambitious UAEization goals set out in the UAE’s “Top 50 Projects” initiative.
The announcement reiterated the company’s commitment to improving the level of UAEization in the private sector and working with the UAE government to train the next generation of highly skilled local talents to support its NAFIS program. NAFIS is a federal program designed to improve the competitiveness of UAE’s human resources and empower them to be employed in the private sector.
Within five years, Aldar’s subsidiaries and partner companies will create a total of 200 positions each year, offering positions for fresh graduates and experienced professionals. In order to expand the impact of the promise, the 1,000 jobs created will include the direct role of Aldar’s entire business, as well as the indirect role of partners and suppliers that meet the requirements of Aldar’s Domestic Value (ICV) program.
Through this initiative, the company will provide local talents with career development opportunities related to investment and development management, education, retail and hotels. There will also be opportunities in professional areas, including sustainability, innovation, digital transformation, data and analysis, and sales.
Currently, UAE nationals represent half of Aldar’s executive management team and hold CEO positions in Aldar Group, Aldar Investment, Aldar Projects and Aldar Ventures. 32% of department head positions are held by Emirati, including strategy and transformation, sustainability, marketing and communications, procurement, IT, business, portfolio management, investment finance, and personnel, culture and performance departments.
In addition, 18.7% of senior positions in the organization are held by Emirati women.
Approximately 53% of Aldar’s local employees are under the age of 35, and the program will seek to further increase the number of young Emirati working within the group. Aldar’s postgraduate courses and recent partnerships with the Ministry of Human Resources and the UAE also support this focus on youth and provide opportunities for young UAE nationals.
Talal Al Dhiyebi, CEO of Aldar Properties Group, said: “The 50 initiatives initiated by the UAE’s leadership will guide the country and its people’s sustainable, long-term growth. We are proud to be able to stimulate the private sector’s commitment to this important initiative. Play a leading role in contribution.
“We are committed to providing the next generation of talents in the UAE with an opportunity to build their careers in companies with lofty ambitions, a steady growth trajectory and diversified business interests. By promoting the adoption of this initiative, we will achieve our The goal of being a responsible organization and an active promoter of the sustainable development of our national economy.”
