Cabsat, the broadcast, media, satellite and entertainment industry’s flagship event, is once again partnering with HConsult to host its second annual Mena Regional Co-Production Salon at the upcoming show.
The event was held at the Dubai World Trade Center from May 16-18.
The Co-Production Salon is designed to encourage investment in Mena content projects through co-funding, co-production and commissioning. It will also facilitate opportunities to explore other content financing channels, such as brand integration, private investment and product placement.
The first co-production salon in 2022 will attract more than 40 participating companies, including internationally renowned platforms, TV channels, production companies and private investors. This year’s salon will once again be located in a dedicated conference lounge, which promises to be more spacious and well-appointed than ever, with private areas for you to meet, network and discuss business.
As edition 29 approaches, Cabsat is once again partnering with the most innovative content creators, producers, broadcast technology providers, and satellite distribution and content delivery companies to identify common traits for success across all verticals as a blueprint for future growth.
Highlights from the last Co-Production Lounge included Roya TV from Jordan, T-Vision from Egypt, Image Factory from Morocco and Bright Lens Media from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia as some of the participating companies, while the 2023 installment will welcome Arabian Both China and Foreign Film Content are looking to explore collaboration opportunities in feature-length entertainment content, co-financing entertainment content and OTT Originals commissioned projects.
Katerina Pshenitsyna, deputy CEO of SMF Animation, one of the world’s largest animation production and distribution giants, said of her first co-production salon experience last year: “Last year’s event was just right. HConsult Content Marketing and Distribution Consultant Heba Korayem, who will host the salon again this year, spoke highly of the initiative and said that the previous event featured more than 250 high-quality sessions during which around 30 high-value partner deals were being negotiated time of day.
