Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, launched the second of three videos as part of its “Hosting the World” campaign. These videos bring together Formula One, music and fashion experts from all over the world, as well as their UAE counterparts in the UAE.
For the latest video, the airline commissioned a unique piece of music combining two unique styles inspired by the extraordinary journey of the UAE over the past 50 years. Growing up in the UAE, the famous Canadian musician Karl Wolf was invited to “go home” by Salam Al Atas, the first UAE Grand Slam poet.
Before Wolfe traveled from his hometown of Toronto to the UAE capital to record and play the song, the two artists created a mix of poetry and music within a week. It contains lyrics celebrating the great achievements of the UAE and warmly welcomes Carl back to his Betty (home).
Amina Taher, Vice President of Branding, Marketing and Sponsorship, Etihad Airways Said: “The poetry of the UAE is a well-known art form, which makes it the perfect concept for Etihad Airways’ “host the world” event celebrating the spirit of the UAE. Through this event, we hope to inspire travelers to visit the UAE again To explore the beautiful scenery shown in the video.”
The two shot this music video at the picturesque Al Wathba Desert Resort and Spa, and it only takes a short drive from Abu Dhabi to the desert landscape.
