Cardi initially received $250,000 in medical bills, legal documents show. However, the new report said that amount was reduced to $25,000, bringing the total compensation received to $3.8 million.
As previously reported, Cardi filed a lawsuit against Tasha K in 2019. Tasha reportedly filmed nearly 40 videos speaking badly of Cardi. Her videos include false allegations that Cardi contracted herpes, cheated on her husband Offset, had sex with beer bottles and even took drugs while she was a dancer.
Following Monday’s loss, Tasha took to her social media to thank those who stood with her in court.
“My husband, lawyer and I really work hard,” Tasha tweeted. “I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it just came up from here. See you in a few days. Back to work.”

In light of the latest developments, the rapper released a statement regarding the closure.
“In this trial, you all learned about the darkest period of my life. That moment was fueled by the vile, disgusting and totally false narratives that have been relentlessly shared online,” Cardi said. “I thought I would never be heard or proven right, I felt completely helpless and vulnerable. I never took my fame for granted the platform I had, which is why I have Do everything in your time to find justice.”
