American guitarist Carlos Santana Postponed the next six concerts of his “Fantastic Supernatural 2022” tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. Earlier this week, the veteran guitarist was rushed to the hospital with heatstroke and dehydration while performing at the Pine Knob Musical Theater in Clarkston, about 40 miles northwest of Detroit.

“I regret to inform you that the Santana Band has postponed tonight’s performance at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana,” Santana’s manager, Michael Vrionis said in a statement. Will be postponed July 9 at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio; July 10 at the American Home Insurance Amphitheatre – Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; July 12 at the Walmart Arkansas Music Hall in Rogers, Arkansas ; July 15 at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Texas; July 16 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodland, Texas.”
Making sure Carlos is doing well, Michael added, “Carlos is doing well and is eager to get back on stage as soon as possible. He just needs to rest. The doctor advised Mr. Santana to take a good rest to fully recuperate.”
Michael added that Carlos regretted the postponement, “Santana deeply regrets the postponement of his upcoming show; however, his health is our number one concern. He looks forward to seeing all of his fans soon.”
Live Nation will announce new concert dates. From July 23 in Paso Robles, California, through the end of 2022, all scheduled shows will go ahead as planned. All previously purchased tickets will be redeemed on the new date.
Considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Santana is on a “Fantastic Supernatural 2022” tour with Earth, Wind & Fire in support of his 26th and latest studio album 2021’s Blessings and Miracles.
