Corey Morrow:
Houston-born singer-songwriter Cory Morrow will perform acoustically at Dosey Doe The Big Barn on February 24 at 8:30 pm. Max Flynn starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $28.

Morrow is an experienced Texan singer-songwriter who attended Houston Memorial High School and Texas Tech University before moving to Austin in 1993. Four years later, he released his first independent work, and he has since released a total of 15 albums; his latest being 2018’s Whiskey and Pride.

Kingdom Choir:
London-based The Kingdom Choir will perform at The Centrum on February 25th at 8pm. Tickets start at $35.

The choir, which has more than a dozen members, attracted international attention in 2018 when it performed at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The concert consists of traditional gospel classics and popular contemporary music. This performance is presented by the Cypress Creek Arts and Community Foundation.

Outstanding Women:
The American Association of University Women of North Harris County will hold its Women of the Year Awards Luncheon on February 25th at 10 am in the Shirley Acres’ Garden Room.

The event will honor Julie Hinaman, who has served on the CyFair ISD Board of Directors since 2019, and Gloria Aldridge, who served as the Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration Coordinator for Northwest Harris County for 30 years. The keynote speaker is Dr. Maria Elena Bottazzi, a microbiologist who together with Dr. Peter Hotez has developed a COVID vaccine that is freely licensed worldwide.

Good Vibration:
Beach Boys Tribute Show Good Vibrations will perform two shows on February 26th at Main Street Crossing, Tomball at 4pm and 8pm. Tickets for both shows start at $39.

Choir preview:
The Langham Creek High School Chamber Choir will perform music for the upcoming festival at the Foundry Church in Houston on February 27-28 at 7pm.

The choir will perform and compete March 3-4 at San Antonio’s Madrigal Festival, which invites choirs from across Texas to participate in competitions and workshops.

Cash Tributes:
Johnny Cash tribute band Church of Cash will perform at Tomball’s Main Street Crossing on March 1st at 8pm. Tickets start at $38.

The Minneapolis-based quartet, featuring frontman Jay Ernest, performed hits like “One Song at a Time”; “Something Called Love”; and fan favorites , such as “(Ghost) Sky Knight”. Ernest’s reverberating voice sounds like a country record legend.

Kooza Circus:
Cirque Du Soleil returns to Sam Houston Race Park with their Kooza show through March 5th. Tickets start at $49.

The Kooza show is billed as a return to basics, combining acrobatics and clown art, according to the popular traveling circus website. The show, which is performed under a large canopy in the race park car park, takes place at various times from Wednesday to Sunday until March 4, with multiple performances on weekends.

Ladies Club:
The Cy-Fair Women’s Club will meet on March 2nd at the HCA North Cypress in the Founders Room at 6:30 pm. The conference is open to the public and there is no admission fee.

This month’s speaker is Chalsi Oestreich, who will talk about her experience with the Fort Bend Junior Service League’s Sugar Plum Market, which raises over $250,000 annually. Oestreich will talk about how her women’s organization has helped make a positive difference in her community.

Tarzan Musical:
Concordia Players from Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball presents “Tarzan: The Musical for Stage,” which opened March 3 at 7pm and continued with three performances March 4-5 in the school’s cafeteria. Tickets start at $12.

The production features music and lyrics by Phil Collins. Additional showings are March 4th at 2pm, March 4th at 7pm and March 5th at 3pm.

second chance:
The Fallbrook Church in Cypress will host a Second Chances Bazaar on March 4th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The event will showcase employment opportunities and resources for those with criminal records. All participants will have the opportunity to meet with an attorney or law student regarding their case and are encouraged to bring their court records. No registration is required.

Creole Festival:
