professional Ugo Kusar His Team Arena 1 won the Abu Dhabi Pro-Am at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
19 teams, each with 1 pro and 3 amateurs, saw the winners post an impressive 33 under par on the national course.
Cousad, 30, is the current team leader for this season’s Challenge Tour Road to Mallorca, where he is captain of the following teams: Martin Nicole (18), Big Neil (14) and Tony Barger (16).
The team opened with a 13-under front nine on the tee at hole 1A, a “Par is your Friend” mode of Team Shambles in which the pros choose the best tee shot of the four while the amateurs Players play their own ball in that spot until it goes in, and the Pro always hits his own ball. Cousad opened the opening with a three-shot birdie, but the team gave the scorer no trouble at the second and seventh holes, with no threes.
On the back nine, the team came alive.
Kusad birdied the 10th and 15th holes. Nicole made four contributions on the back nine, the big five and the Bagal six.
This leaves Team Arena 1 with a three-stroke lead over runners-up ADGC 2, led by Dubai Professional Renato Palatorewho represented Italy in the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.
The third place lost in the countdown was Team Arena 3, led by Alvaro Queiroz 2011 Dubai Desert Classic and DP World Tour Championship winner.
