Although the back-to-school policy aims to promote the safe return of as many students as possible to classroom education, distance learning will still be an option for children with chronic diseases; those aged 16 and over who have not been vaccinated; for those who wish to continue People who study online, if their school provides the model.
The physical distance between the classroom and the entire campus will be reduced to one meter, thereby increasing classroom capacity. This will enable the largest number of students to have as much face-to-face contact with teachers and peers as possible, “this is important for their intellectual, physical, social and emotional development and well-being.”
Classroom bubble
The school will continue to operate the macro bubble in the new school year to reduce the risk and scale of Covid-19 spread among school groups and reduce the shift to distance learning.
In kindergarten and the first semester (grade 2/3 and below), the class bubble size of students who do not engage in social distancing has increased from 10 to 16 bubbles per bubble.
Public area
Public areas that are essential for interaction and social interaction will be reopened, including play areas for young students. As long as the food is provided by designated staff and complies with the regulations of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, cooking is allowed, such as serving food in portions.
Physical Education
Students will also resume physical education (PE) courses and sports, including swimming-with special arrangements and adjustments based on risk assessments. Schools must disinfect the entertainment venues and equipment between groups.
Extracurricular activities
They can recover for the school’s own students. The school must complete a risk assessment and implement a safe operation policy, including maintaining physical distance and wearing a mask. Lease of school sports facilities is still suspended.
Adek Chairman Sara Musallam said: “Based on our experience in the past year and in close coordination with health authorities, educators and parents, we believe that the new school year will have a good and safe start after these updates. Policies are in place.
“Our priority is to ensure that as many students as possible have the opportunity to enjoy high-quality face-to-face learning, which is critical to their intellectual, physical, and social-emotional development and well-being.
