Covid-19: Rajasthan government bans religious gatherings-News

As part of the state government’s efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19, Rajasthan has banned all religious activities and gatherings, including the upcoming Kanwar Yatra and Eid-l-Adha events.

According to the notice, even the annual Mudiya Poono Mela held in the Govardan area of ​​Mathura will not be held this year. Believers are not allowed to gather at the Chaturmas festival.

The state government also requires all devotees to worship and pray at home and strictly abide by the Covid-19 agreement.

In view of the Covid-19 pandemic that lasted for the second year, Kanwar Yatra was cancelled in Uttarakhand. In Uttar Pradesh, hundreds of thousands of believers make a pilgrimage every year, but no decision has been made yet. The Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on July 21st.

According to data from the Trade Union Ministry of Health, Rajasthan currently has 522 active Covid-19 cases. So far, the state has reported 943,788 recovery cases and 8,947 deaths.

The state has received as many as 27,500,622 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, including 22,373,512 doses of the first dose and 5,127,110 doses of the second dose.
