Croatian tennis star Borna Coric will make his debut at the Mubadala World Tennis Championships (MWTC) in Abu Dhabi this weekend. The announcement came at the last minute after US Open semifinalist Francis Tiafoe was forced to withdraw from the annual tournament due to injury.
The coveted 14th edition of the Abu Dhabi Championships will be held at Zayed Sports City this weekend, December 16-18.
The last remaining tickets are now available for purchase via www.mubadalawtc.com Website, from AED 95 for adults (first day, AED 195 for second day, AED 295 for third day).
Coric will join current (and youngest ever) world number one Carlos Alcaraz, world number four Kaspar Ruud, US Open champion Andre Ruud Brev, British No. 1 Cameron Norrie, Greek bottom line specialist Stefanos Tsitsipas.
As in previous years, two women were also selected for an exciting competition. This time around, two of the sport’s most exciting aces face off on day one as talented world number two Ons Jabeur will defend his title against the 2021 US Open champion, and Emma Raducanu, the current UK number one. He will be looking for proof on the field after regretting his exit from last year’s competition.
