As we know and hear, many gworlz use the word “daddy body” when talking about the possibility that a man’s abdomen may have a little extra weight. In the interview Nowadays, Peter Sokolowski, the editor-in-chief of Merriam-Webster, explained how to add text. The New York Times or The Atlantic Monthly has a lot to do with this.
Sokolovsky said: “If a word is New York Times or Atlantic Organization, And then it will enter the dictionary. “
He also stated that text cannot just appear on social media or memes. They must appear in the article, “We need to see it appear in carefully edited prose over a period of time-not just on memes and social media”
Although Merian-Webster said that “dad bod” was first used in 2003, Sokolovsky said that once officially entered the dictionary, these words would be “a bit old.”
“Slang dictionaries are great, they play an important role,” Sokolovsky said. “But more research must be done on Merriam-Webster. We need to see a lot of evidence for the use of a word, so when it is entered, it may feel a bit stale.”
