Dubai, UAE: DC Aviation Al-Futtaim has announced the opening of a wheel shop at its Dubai South facility, offering customers a full range of services including tire changes and wheel overhauls.
The launch of the wheel shop will allow DCAF to service a range of aircraft wheels, including the Challenger 604/605/650, Global Express and Global 7500, with plans to expand the service to cover the Challenger 850, 300/350 and Airbus A320 series among other maintenance requirements.
Chris Rosewarne, Maintenance Manager at DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, said: “The launch of the Wheel Shop perfectly complements our existing maintenance portfolio. The Wheel Shop will allow us to offer our customers a complete wheel and tire service at competitive prices, and reduce turnaround time.
“We are also investing in our technical and support staff to increase our overall capacity to enable DCAF to handle larger maintenance inspections and/or multiple projects. We also plan to increase our support capacity for the Airbus A320 family, And build on our Challenger 604 family and global express capabilities,” he added.
DCAF received EASA approval last month as part of the wheel shop requirements. The company is audited by the German Federal Aviation Agency (LBA) and is authorized to issue EASA Form 1.
