The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has recently appointed a representative sales force to promote Abu Dhabi locally as a destination in the GCC countries.
Through the Experience Abu Dhabi destination brand, the sales team will operate to showcase Abu Dhabi’s Emirati hospitality, natural attractions, and cultural and leisure experiences. The field team will consist of industry experts in sales, marketing and PR, and will be based in seven GCC cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Kuwait, Muscat, Doha and Manama.
The new sales team will focus on building relationships with tour operators, tour operators and tourism stakeholders in the GCC region to increase Abu Dhabi’s presence in the market. The team will focus on increasing visitor numbers to Abu Dhabi by promoting the destination’s diverse cultural and entertainment offerings, as well as luxury accommodation and world-class attractions.
The GCC region is an important market for Abu Dhabi’s tourism industry and the new sales team is expected to play a key role in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading destination in the region and attracting more tourists from GCC countries.
