Popa Cai!Learn about the history of the 50s and 60s through popular songs
Destin Library Friends Guild presents Boppa Chua! Mark Black’s history of the ’50s and ’60s through pop songs at the Destin Library on November 4th at 6pm.
New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee Marc Black will guide you through evenings of singing, storytelling and laughter throughout these two historic decades. You’ll celebrate a variety of great songs like “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” and “Blowin’ in the Wind,” as well as tunes from artists from Dean Martin to George Harrison.
In addition to the music and dialogue, this popular show features a slideshow of Susan Black that’s sure to take you back in time. Marc will also play his own band Blades of Grass’ top 40 hit “Happy” on tour with The Doors, Neil Diamond, The Dave Clark Five and Van Morrison.

Nutcracker Tickets On Sale
Join Northwest Florida Ballet for their 43rd annual production of The Nutcracker November 18-19 at 7:30 pm and November 20 at 2:30 pm at the Marty Kelly Center for the Arts.
The only full version in the region, NFB’s Nutcracker features live music by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra led by David Otter and more than 140 performers, including international guest artists and more than 100 local children.

Tree Lighting and Santa’s Arrival
Destin Commons welcomes everyone to watch Santa light up their Christmas tree on Friday, November 18 from 6-8pm. Enjoy face painting, hot chocolate and a photo booth. The festive parade begins at 7pm as Santa arrives on Main Street to light up the most spectacular Christmas tree on the Emerald Coast. After the Christmas tree lights up, the event will end with fireworks.

Holiday Craft Fair is November 18
The City of Destin’s 16th Annual Holiday Craft Show will be held at the Destin Community Center on November 18th from 9am-4pm and November 19th from 9am-3pm
Over 60 vendors will showcase handcrafted jewelry, wreaths, books, food and more. Booths are $45 for Destin residents and $55 for non-residents. The price includes an 8 x 10 space, a 6-foot table and two chairs ($10 extra for a corner booth or additional table). Please register early as space is limited.

Wine Walkabout is November 10th
Marty Kelly Arts Foundation Hosts 10th Annual Wine Walk and Dinner on November 10th at 5:30pm
The 10th annual installment of the event will once again be held at the East Bar and Courtyard at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Destin.
Chef Ruston Johnson has created a special menu featuring multiple cooking stations featuring heavy-tasting hors d’oeuvres and a selection of fine wines from a variety of vintners.
Guests at the Wine Walkabout will enjoy mixing and mingling with MKAF staff and members, as well as tasting hors d’oeuvres, tasting stations, visiting vintners from exclusive wineries, trying their luck in wine pulls, bidding in silent auctions, and more.
Live entertainment will feature award-winning jazz artist Michael J. Thomas and pianist Cam Ray. Tickets are $95 per person and $75 for MKAF members.

Avenue Farmers Market
The Grand Boulevard Farmers Market is held every Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm at Grand Park in the heart of Grand Boulevard, South Walton. Bring your shopping bag for local produce, eggs, jams and pies. Homemade soaps, good olive oils and pickled stuff are all available.
Rosemary Beach Farmers Market
Visit the 30A Farmers Market in Rosemary Beach on Sundays from 9am-1pm. The local farmers market is held on Sundays and summer Thursdays at North Barrett Square in Scenic 30A throughout the year.
Adopt-A-Street
The City of Destin’s Adopt-A-Street program allows local families, businesses and community groups to provide valuable community services by adopting street sections to remove trash and debris. Groups participating in the program will list their names on the city’s website and install signage on the streets they adopt.
